Text your waste away!

recycle-more.co.uk, Valpak's recycling information website, has launched a brand new text service! Text 'waste' or 'elec' and your postcode to 60060 from anywhere in the UK, and you will receive a text back with details of where you can recycle anything from plastic milk bottles to old toasters.

Steve Gough, CEO of Valpak, the UK's largest compliance scheme, commented 'I am thrilled to see the launch of yet another valuable recycling tool. Any service which raises awareness and improves access to recycling is to be welcomed'.

The new text service is another string in the bow for recycle-more.co.uk, a site which has already received over 3 million hits in 2007. The site is a great educational resource, with recycling games for kids and detailed explanations of recyclable materials and packaging symbols. recycle-more's web manager Sam Blades said 'the text service allows people to recycle materials 'on the move'. If you're on holiday in the UK and want to keep up the good work you do at home, it's now quick and easy to locate your nearest recycling site. It also gives those without internet access a convenient way to find recycling facilites'.
